Copy-pasted from tumblr with usericons. It's long. I always need to write these reports straight after the con, otherwise I start to forget details and little anecdotes that I want to share. In general, this year was one of the best Otafest experiences I've had. The layout changes felt fresh and familiar at the same time: the new buildings gave Otafest new opportunities but everything about the atmosphere and the way people carried themselves was undeniably Otafest. I do understand that many hiccups were caused by this though, but I'll get to those as they come to mind. I don't need to explain what happened. What I think people should think about is exactly what went wrong and why this is a case of stupidity from everyone. I've been ranting about Saturday's events to pretty much everyone, but I've also realized several things about the points that people brought up that might not be obvious from the get-go: 1. Thank you so much for airing your dirty laundry on our forums. We really appreciate the respect you have for all the work certain people have put into the forums and all of the effort we put into keeping our community alive. I'm sure our regular forum members are very happy that the forums are active again and filled with drama. I think everyone who visits our site is very interested in the massive thread about convention trouble in another province.
